Boss: Oh no. You're fine. We fire you after three no call no shows but those are only for mandatory events.
Me: Oh so I'm fine?
Boss: Yep you don't have anything to worry about. I appreciate your honesty though.
Me: But wait a second. Does that mean there are work days that aren't mandatory? So there are days I can just choose not to come in?
Boss: Well unless you need the extra hours but that's why the other dates are first come first serve. Once we fill a reduced quota, we send everyone else home. So no. Not necessarily.

Boss: Sunday and Monday are mandatory. Hope you didn't have anything planed.
