Here are all of my shitty basic models.
Wave was my first (and then i learned there’s a public version of Wave that’s way better)
Monokuma is probably my favorite one at the moment because people recognize him and those that don’t just think he’s a cute bear thing
Salazzle was my first edited model. I had to work hard to get her textures right and now I have to work harder to find out why her hips just spaz out randomly.
Kalypso seems to get the most attention. She actually came from a trophy in Smash which meant I had to edit her model into a t-pose manually which was pretty hard. I love this model but she doesn’t look straight ahead and I need to fix that. I also want her jaw to move when she talks.
Kindred I Just finished yesterday. First model with custom animations. Wolf is supposed to have his mouth move when he talks but at the moment he only flaps his jaw when I look at him.
VRChat got me back into Maya and reminded me that I do have a passion for working in it. As stupid as it is, I owe it to this game. I want to start modelling and animation again
Again this is very amateurish. This particular model has clipping on the hands (which wouldn’t matter if you were using a VRset) and her tail has no physics on it so its just sticking out. But this is how to import a very basic model.
< Part 3 of 3
This is a tutorial of how to make a VERY VERY BASIC avatar in VRchat.
More complexity will require a bit of 3D programming knowledge.
This also how I’VE been doing it following tutorials online and abridging them.
If there is a better way PLEASE tell me.
