Day 1 of the Animal People Challenge.
Eastern Red Bat
As the first one it was indeed a challenge. Plus it was weird since the reference differed. In some of them, they were red and in others they were brown. I actually cracked this over my head a bunch of times but finally just decided to post it before I ran out of time and sanity.
And to make it even weirder, I gave her a name. Its Bethany.

So I’m most likely going to Youmacon 2012.
Last time I went was 2010 and I got to volunteer. I was a badger to events including one of the Nostalgia Critics. I saw him and his buds coming, just kind of nervously nodded, checked his badge and he nodded back.
That was 2 years ago. I hope I’m not as awkward in this one. If you can volunteer at a con, do it! You get your money back and still have as much fun.
Maybe one day you’ll catch me staying around the artist alleys giving out art but this time I’m just visiting with my brother and cousins in camaraderie and publicly embarrassing myself playing LOL in front of people.
I’m gonna try to print this out and stick it on my badge. If you see this, say hello and I will nervously drop spaghetti and make small talk.
There’s a brony meetup and I kind of want to just stop by to see my fellow freaks in Detroit. But since I’m with family, the biggest fear is that someone actually recognizes me and jokes about that one time I drew that one dog from a kids cartoon posing sexy on a bed.
On a side note. This is the first picture I’ve drawn of me that’s actually pretty damn close to my actual skin tone.

Okay. So the original idea was to try to do Celestia again in this pose from an older picture
Just for fun. But then I realized. This pose doesn’t just look like she’s kicking..It looks like she’s dancing.. so then I got to thinking.. What if this was a toy?
And so I started devising a plan to send a pitch to Hasbro about the ultimate MLP toy they could make. It would be a posed Celestia that could be a dancer, for the little girl fans of the show. It could also be a princess kungfu kickass master for the boy fans of the show. Hasbro would market different commercials of the same toy to the different demographics and make baby and brony bucks.
Now. As stupid as this sounds, I was ACTUALLY going to email this idea to Hasbro as a joke but it was just too much hassle. The presidents email is no where to be found and with the PR email there’s a chance that the people I want to see this might not even see it.
There was also this that I was going to pitch that was “original footage” of kids actually enjoying the toy.
…….I worked outside all day okay? Lay off.
