SS13 is a byond run game about several people doing their jobs to benefit the space station. Jobs can go from security to bartender to engineer to captain to janitor to scientist… you get the idea. The main goal is to help improve the station or help others while going through the several possible crisis’s that could happen.

You may fight a malfunctioning AI who plots to take over the station, or a band of baddies who plan to nuke the station or even aliens who kidnap and breed in the dark until they raise an army strong enough to kill everyone. If those weren’t a big enough distraction, some players are traitors who must carry out tasks that may involve assassinating other players and stealing important documents.

Each round can last from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on the game mode (Which is never really told to you). But the immersion and roleplaying is what makes the experience really interesting. If you want to try it, find a wiki or ask OOC in game for tips.

A few days ago I end up fucking the station over twice but the group was fine giving me suggestions on how I should play. They’re nice so long as its not intentionally trolling. Don’t get me wrong they do get mad but that passes over.
