I can’t decide if I should buy Pokemon Y and start over and face despair if my old X game actually turns up and risk wasting money or if I should buy  something else

I mean on the one hand, I can have both versions and pokemon box to move them back and forth. Not to mention I’m downloading it to memory so I won’t risk losing it again.

On the other hand I already own the game
