"I HAVEN’T EVEN PLAYED THE GAME " When are you going to try it? When you do you should stream it. Tell us when you're ready for Freddy.

That’s a fucking good one.

Anon. I refuse to even play Dead Space. I will never be ready for Freddy. I will never be ready for Amnesia. Hell I will never be ready for Slenderman because I am a huge coward. I don’t like being scared but I don’t avoid all scary things.

Short Answer: Never. I will never stream FNAF. I can barely watch a stream of it without turning off the sound, looking away and then turning off the tab when I think shit is going down. Its the type of horror that I can’t stand. It just so happens that this game has the charm to keep me interested in its background without actually playing it.

Long answer:

Its not even the scares that get me. Its suspense. I can’t handle it.

I beat Resident Evil 4 but I could not get past parts where there was an amazing amount of suspense. Take the Regenerador in the cell for example. For whatever reason this enemy caused me to drop the control and stand in the corner just shaking. I hadn’t even seen the monster but the noises it made and the fact that at the time, I had NOT seen anyone kill it freaked me out. I had to tell my brother to just run to the end of the hall for me. Now interestingly enough, the regeneradors clone monster, the one with the spikes, didn’t scare me at all. There are moments in Re4 that are equally suspenseful but they seemed so silly or human that it wasn’t that frightening.

Its not just with games. I love Roller coasters, but I cannot take the suspense of waiting to get on one. My uncle has forced me on many a rides that I ended up enjoying but I would dread getting on the next one. I tend to have a sense of bravery during the activity but I cower before it happens.

Sure you can bring to the table “Face your fears” “Be a man” “Don’t chicken out” but it doesn’t help me man up to trying these games. Fact of the matter is that’s all FNAF is. Its conditioning you for a jump scare that WILL happen if you fail. Look at every characters game over. They’re not scary. God knows how many times I laugh at Foxxy out of content. But I don’t do well with paranoia.

I’m not saying I’ll hurt someone after freaking out or anything but I’ll probably lose sleep and its a sensation I’d rather stay away from to be honest. Though when its a life or death situation like chasing away a potential burglar or scaring of a stray dog, I rise up to it. Hell I poked a beaver out of a tree. That thing could have it my arm off. Point is I’m not a coward, I just would rather not have to deal with fear if I can avoid it. If its something threatening me or my family then I can shrug it off.
