Yes, because playing a video game and enjoying it doesn’t make you gamer, you can only have that title by strictly adhering to incredibly restrictive dogmatic rules and lines of segregation and caste. That’s what being a real gamer is about.

SKYRIM IS HARDCORE? OH GOD I’M LAUGHING MY ASS OFF.

Don’t get my wrong, I love Skyrim, but “hard” is the last word I’d use to describe. Mario Kart is pretty brutal by comparison, especially on harder difficulties.

That being said, who the hell cares? You’re one if you identify as one, and that’s all there is to it. Arbitrary requirements for petty labels is basically like children drawing lines in the sand and declaring “my side is cooler than yours”.

It’s childish.

Some of these so called “Gamers” probably couldn’t make it though three levels of pac-man.

That doesn’t make you a gamer and plus Halo is a pile of shit compare to many other titles I’ve played in the past.

Pile of shit is a bit harsh. Halo tends to deliver a rather solid game. Sure, that doesn’t mean everyone likes it, but some one, it wouldn’t get so popular without being a solid, enjoyable game.

Just my opinion. That’s not true there are a lot of games that are popular but have the worst mechanics and story.

Most popular games with bad mechanics or story, tend to be from Franchises, which tends to have a much easier time at getting a lot of money for their games.

There are exceptions yes, but they are they exception. Most popular games do deserve their popularity.

That’s only half true. You see the industry has got to the point where people are buying the same games which makes the companies think that we want those games (hence why there are so many shooting games) which then makes us all think that these games are just becoming repetitive but it’s our own faults. It’s why I moved off consoles. Most of the games on the xbox are either shooting or driving. Granted it’s not all of them and there are some good ones but it’s over run by male inspired games. Pc is much better in my view.

Heh, I disagree. Especially from the new E3, a lot of the new games weren’t shooters, and even if they were, they had significant differences from previous gameplay.

Titanfall, Watch Dogs, Battlefield Hardline. All pretty different from previous games off the same genre. Innovation is hardly dead in the console industry, and the PC industry is hardly any better. Indie games are on both PC and Consoles.

Oh and ‘male-inspired’ games? How vauge a statement is that?
