someone in my tag reminded me of this so I thought I’d share this ‘recipe’ I use!
Remember this dude from Aristocats?
It's Roquefort! Enjoying Crème de la Crème à la Edgar! And holy crap, this tiny little scene left such an impression on me as a kid! Despite the, you know, drugs and everything, I ALWAYS thought Crème de la Crème à la Edgar looked AMAZING and I wanted to GO TO THERE.
And I eventually figured it out:
- Heat up a mug of milk in the microwave for about a minute or a minute and a half, or carefully heat in a small pan over the stove, but make sure you’re constantly stirring it so the bottom doesn’t scorch
- I usually drink whole milk, so that’s what I use, but man I bet this would be delicious with Almond or Coconut milk as well
- Once your milk is warm, stir in a small splash of vanilla (extract, not flavor), a spoonful of sugar, and sprinkle with cinnamon
- For the true experience, you seriously need to have Ritz crackers to dunk in the milk. I freaking love Ritz crackers, and they’ve got just the right touch of sweetness to be perfect.
This is one of those feel good comfort recipes that is just so good on a bleh day and you just want to stay inside and watch Disney movies (which honestly, is most days).
