the worst

this is like a bad word to artists

things to never say to an artist

I’m scratching my brain right now.

I don’t see what everyone is worked up about. Would you want to make friends with a chef and never want to taste their food?

It only sounds selfish to admit it but you can’t tell me you followed a cool artists and didn’t at least once fantasize about them drawing something for you. To say “DON’T TRY TO BE MY FRIEND JUST FOR MY ART” on a website where that’s probably all people will ever know about you is silly.

I’m sure any self respecting human being wouldn’t just make “friends” with an artist just to stop by asking if they drew you yet 24/7. I’m sure that “friend” would want to return the favor anyway they can, even if its not a gift. And if they don’t? What kind of one sided friendship is that?

I just can’t imagine that anon thinking “I want art and I’ll never do anything for you if you give it to me! Hahahaha!” its just what it sounds like.
