You have no idea how hard I smiled at this series of mail.

I love how people like you put rape victims on a higher shelf then say shell shocked soldiers or discriminated minorities. Rape is bad. It causes psychological issues and can even lead to human mistrust. But so does every other crime. 

I think its dumb directing our special attention to rape just because the majority of rape victims happen to be women. If someone in my family got raped, i’d be pissed and feel sorry for them. Sure. But no more upset then I would be if they were mugged or killed which HAS happened.

I’m not talking out of my ass here. I’ve had friends who experienced these sorts of crimes and I still don’t crumble into these rape apologist tumblr defense force groups. I’m anti-crime. It doesn’t make me worse that I care more about everyone affected by everything then I do one crime and one group.
