What is your opinion on the people who say molestia promotes rape culture and shows one of the examples of bronies ruining the show for little girls?

Shit I went vent mode on this by mistake.

Honestly I just think people are getting too defensive this day in age and forgot how to take a joke.

Molestia was supposed to be a little chuckle and a laugh but then it elevated and because it elevated people became upset. Like the infamous Stu storyboard, it was made as a joke and does not mean the artists supports wife beating.

imageIs that storyboard artists, even if he did work on the show, ruining the Rugrats fandom? No. Did it destroy what was shown on television? No of course not. People who liked it just laughed and those that didn’t just swept it under a rug.

When Molestia was made it was kind of implied that rape did happen without getting too graphic. But it wasn’t about the rape, it was about “How bizarre would it be to have this kind of character in a kids show?” It was kind of a joke “HAHA THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. THAT’S JUST STUPID AND SILLY.” without getting too deep into “Oh god that kid is going to get molested and suffer a life remembering this moment and probably never get a job because of his anxiety.” Its a damn joke picture of two characters that don’t even exist. If you don’t think its funny I get it but why get offended over it?

Also the only thing ruining a show made for little girls is the creators if they decide to mess up on the show.

As a kid I heard an adult say he wanted to have sex with pokemon. So I stopped associating with pokemon and stopped playing pokemon forever because I was so horrified by his strange urg- No. I’ve been playing Pokemon from Blue to Black. I didn’t choose to be exposed to that sort of person but i didn’t lose my mind over it.

tl;dr: Yes she does technically but it’s meant to be for comedy purposes so it shouldn’t be taken seriously.

stl;dr its a joek maggot, quit cryin
