Context: me and a few friends just started a new campaign. In our session, we came upon a lake where a merperson was freaking out. To investigate why this was happening we were talking to various people (it turned out that there was something wrong with the air). We soon saw someone close to the lake.
Me, a useless dumb gay high elf: I approach the elf man.
DM: okay, go ahead!
Me: is he hot?
Rest of the party: groans
DM: hm, I don’t know if he’s your type. Here’s his picture. *Puts a picture with a photoshopped Todd Howard who is wearing a fisherman’s hat and a fishing rod*
The whole party: OH my GOD.
Me: oh yeah, he definitely is. I side up next to him and awkwardly lean on the nearest thing.
DM: well, that would probably be his fishing pole.
My elf: So, you come here often?
DM: um, he’s says “well, yes, I’m a fisherman’s.”
My elf: what’s your name?
DM: “oh, how rude of me! I should have mentioned. My name is Rodd Howard!”

Needless to say, there was a Lot of groaning by the whole group
