I’m just rediscovering Airmaster. The tale of a orcishly tall high school girl who is known for her amazing talent of street fighting. It’s one of those anime shows that’s up there in the categories of “shows that got me into anime”, “anime I actually finished.” and “Anime I will always remember because of it’s kickass OP.” Looking back at it now there are a lot of panty shots but it feels less about being fanservice and more about this gorilla of a girl not giving a shit as she whoops ass.

I think its funny that all it was really remembered for was one of the strangest reversals in fighting anime history.

But I digress. The action and main character made it a classic for me.

Notice I said character…singular. The supporting cast was literally a collection of shitty boob jokes.  Airmaster is up there with the “top 10 personal anime you consider great but always forget when people ask you about your favorite anime” right next to Genshikken, Yu Yu Hakusho and King of Bandits Jing.

Air Master, Love Hina and Tenchi Muyo GXP are some of the anime that got me into drawing my own comics and art in general. I have to remember to not forget these.
