idk who started the idea that life drawing classes have anything sexy going on like. there’s at least ten people in the room and we’re all tired and covered in charcoal.

the dude in front who’s staring at my boobs has been trying to get the shading right for 10 minutes. he’s almost out of paint. he is crying.

In my life drawing class, we were told that any disrespect or crude actions toward the model rather intentional or not would result in automatic failure of the course. When you’re really concentrating on the beauty of the human body you have to mature as you’re staring at every detail. We had a male model for so long that when we finally got a female model, it was just that, a model. No one got huffy no one got boners no one made lewd comments. It’s just a body. And when you have to draw a naked body in the same pose while you’re sitting awkardly over the canvas and you’re supposed to keep drawing for hours you tend to pack it in
