Merry Christmas everyone! I don’t think I’ll be able to say this later!

My  family doesn’t celebrate Christmas because they’ve been brainwashed into believing that it’s anti god/christian. Basically this church that they went to once was doing this lesson about holding things above god. The intent was obviously to help poor families not feel guilty about not buying gifts and stopping people from overspending for the most stressful time of the year but it’s honestly the stupidest bullshit.

Since Christmas is about Jesus’s birthday (Which everyone with a fucking brain and the ability to think for themselves past the year 2000 knows that this isn’t true) the idea is that we’re perverting his holiday by making it about us instead of about him.

The logic behind it is stupid but that’s what you get when you have a family of stupid people. I know I complain about this every year and every year I want to get away from this family but it never works out the way I want. Hell my new years resolution for the past 2 years was to finally move away from my home town and I’m close to being ready financially but I’m just not there yet.

I know i complain about this every year but this is the only time of the year that I think about it.
