Below I go into detail about three ideas I have for stories. If you’d like to read them please continue reading and vote for which you think would be the most fun. Feel free to leave a comment also! “These ideas are shit”, “Work on the Goddamn game” “Porn when” whatever!
I have three “solid” ideas but I don’t know which I should concentrate on and expand on. Or even if I want to develop them as webcomics or games or a cartoon.
The first idea is a light story about a western kobold and an eastern kobold.
Remember this?

This is actually based on the idea.
The difference between the two obviously are inspired by cultural differences and renditions of the creature. A western kobold is a typical short lizard while an eastern kobold is a dogman. The two happened to be called the same thing on the opposite sides of the world where they hail from. The Lizard was kicked out of her community as an exile and the dogman lost his pack upon migrating to the west. The only reason the dog man doesn’t kill the lizard upon meeting her is because she claims he’s a kobold and instead of putting two and two together he regards her as family despite the obvious differences between them. She wants to leave before he catches on but ends up teaming up with him needing his strength to survive alone. Whereas he needs her to guide him in this unknown land. The two of them journey together dealing with the human
“infested” world and getting into all sorts of trouble.
The second idea is about a virtual game that starts off poking fun at the “stuck in the game” genre of stories such as Jumanji, Sword Art Online and Log Horizon. Where the characters aren’t actually trapped in the game but the main character wishes he was. He’s happy enjoying the escapism and hates that he has a boring life to return to.The game has been out for years and is actually slowly dying. He joins a guild and learns that they are focusing on ways to breakdown and exploit the game world for both entertainment and beneficial reasons. Think of modding Skyrim but instead its modding an mmo. The main character finds a way to use this method on an enemy and learns that despite mobs having initial code to attack players on sight, it IS a being of Artificial Intelligence and convinces an enemy mob into joining him. The monster is curious about the main characters life outside of the game. Having the two main characters be a contrast where one wants to escape the real world and one character desperate on escaping the fantasy to see what exists beyond logging out.
The last idea was a darker more complex story about the main character dying and going to hell. A demon in charge of watching over him guides him through his new home and promises that hell IS just as bad as the stories say.
There is no death but there is still pain, monsters, animals and other demons who enjoy hurting and torturing others. On top of that, each sinner is given an exceedingly long list of tasks to do before they become “free” in hell.
His warden tells him it took her a decade to complete hers but until he finished his, he was her property. She takes pleasure in making his afterlife a literal living hell as her owner did the same to her when she died. However the two of them come to a complication. When the main character starts his chores they realize there are no overlords to enforce them. The king of the underworld and all of his lackeys have gone missing. While the anti god is gone, his warden and some other demons hatch a plan to kickstart the underworlds only holiday. The Apocalypse. The day where demons walk the earth and take over the new/old world. The end of the human world means the beginning of a new demonic one. A new land where their overlords can’t control them. A literal anarchy. The main character and his owner use the time they have to explore the demonic and even angelic universe in search of a way to free all of the
demons early before the lord of the underworld returns.
These three ideas have been bouncing around my head since.
Thana is actually a product of both the second and third idea and I’m unsure which idea is worth pursuing. What do you guys think?
