WHY ARE POKEMON MYSTERY DUNGEON FINAL BOSS…

Should I play these games? I’ve always wanted to.

Short answer: Yes. What is wrong with you? These games have better stories than the mainline pokemon games.

Long answer: Man. You have missed out. The Mystery Dungeon series focuses on what the Pokemon series should have always focused on. The Pokemon. It’s not only my favorite spinoff series to a game but I actually would prefer more games in this series than mainline Pokemon games.

If you want to get an introduction to the series then play Red and Blue For GBA and DS. Not only is it challenging but you really get attached to characters in it. I haven’t played it in a while but it definitely also felt like the darkest of the series with an ending that will only catch you off guard if you haven’t beaten the other games.

If you want to play the one with the most content, play Sky for the DS. It’s Time/Darkness 2.0. Time/Darkness and are true to form sequels that give you the most playability and have a cuter and more memorable cast of characters.

If you want a modern take on the series done well play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Super. The latest game. It has great story elements and great characters but it downsizes its post game playability to “Gotta friend them all…if you want” without any real stories after. The main game is still great and challenging but I still feel like its the easiest.

If you want a precursor to Super, play Gates of Infinity. I’m gonna be honest. I bought this because I wanted Super and thought it would substitute it. It did not. The game has a painfully low amount of playable characters and so far the characters just aren’t as memorable. I haven’t finished GOI yet but from what I heard its still a good Mystery Dungeon game. Sky and Blue/Red were just way way better.

Sky is my favorite with Super coming in close second.
