I just realized why despite how much of an asshole Bakugou is he’s one of my favorite characters. He’s on the same coin as Midoriya. Deku is kind, modest and shy but is determined to be a hero despite his handicaps whereas Bakugou lets everyone know how prideful he is, he’s still not a “bad” person. 

He’s an off the rails berserk brat but most of the time he acts antagonistic to get a rise out of people so they’d want to fight him. Bakugou just like Deku wants to be the best but he seems to think making more enemies that he can defeat is better than making more friends that stand with him. The dude might scream out things like “DIE BASTARD” which makes him seem more like a villain but really he seems more of a parody of that typical shonen hotblooded main character.

 As the series goes on you can tell that both Midoriya and Bakugo are influencing each other despite them being rivals and almost enemies. But they both look up to All Might. One looks to him as a symbol to follow and the other looks at him as a symbol to surpass. 

I really hope they don’t make Bakugou a villain later because despite how much of a dick he is, you can tell he still has a good heart for when it matters the most. His friendship with Kirishima shows that he’s warming up and I hope eventually he comes to respect Deku even if he still hates him.
