I did it.

I built a computer that can support the motherboard and cpu I bought on a whim. This week has been me running back and forth buy computer pieces for a better build since for once I had money to burn. (I really should have saved it.) Before I had a best buy build with a 1.5 ghz processor integrated nonupgradeable graphics and 6gbs of ram. The end result is a computer with 3.6 ghz processor, integrated (but upgradeable) graphics and 8 gbs of ram while keeping my drive so I don’t have to reinstall anything except new video drivers.

Point is I spent a lot of time this week building a slightly better PC. I have a buddy who said he’d help me build a great computer once I got paid but I just couldn’t wait. When I do get paid I can just upgrade this thing so it all works out in the end.

The computer is a bit faster but I think once I install the drivers (and/or video card when I get paid) its going to really feel like it was worth it.
