Some Fennec foxes possess specific genes that allow it to be domesticated. Scientists from the Friendly Animal Association have been engaged in a decade long project to artificially preserve these genes and breed more animals capable of befriending humans. The Fennec fox is just the latest animal to be domesticated by the group.
