I don’t follow Cartoon Brew much, but apparently they needed a little boost in traffic so they wrote a story about a petition against adult Zootopia-themed art that’s over two months old and was pretty obviously written as a joke.

What’s annoying about this is all it accomplishes is bringing this subject to an audience of people who had no desire to see it. The vast majority of artists who draw adult content (not gonna center on just furry) do it in a place that’s meant for it. They don’t go running around yelling “WHEEEE LOOK AT MY NAKED PEOPLES DOING THE SEXES!!!”

But because of this, an unaware segment of the public can hear about it and, presumably, get outraged or at least have a chuckle, even though they could have went on living just fine without ever needing to know about it. And, perhaps, a few might respond “Hmmm, this is surprisingly attractive to me.”

Also I’m guessing whoever originally drew the art for the petition banner, which Cartoon Brew so tastefully took, probably didn’t agree to it, so that sucks too.

“ The petition has received 223 signatures, and counting, but it seems that the individual who started it had a change of heart. In an update, the person, who identified as “Furries Against Yiff,” wrote, “Nevermind i just looked at some of the porn and its actually kinda hot please make more.” “

Offensive or not you can’t petition against people creating what they want to create. I mean like you said, the article is really bringing up a subject that isn’t in your face, pushing it in your face, and telling you why you should be upset about it. I personally think porn is hilarious but I’m not going to go around forcing it down peoples throats if they don’t like it. I even try to tag nsfw stuff I like or reblog so people have the option to completely filter it. But asking people to stop drawing it really isn’t going to do much.
