It’s a fairly long winded process to set it all up, and I imagine there is a quite a few different things that can cause problems along the way, but here is a link to how someone managed this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/spider-animal-crossing-new-leaf-save-editor.382965/page-153#post-5646611

If you have any issues with this, I suggest you make an account on gbatemp and ask there. I do not, and likely will never, use this method, so I cannot help, I am just passing along the message.

The only “fixes” I know are;
If you download the youtube ap just for this purpose (or if you’ve never used it), before trying to set up tubehax you have to run the youtube ap once (and acually connect online) and browse so that a history is created for it. Without doing that you will just get errors. I then advise you open the 3DS browser and clear your history and cache.
If you are in Europe, when selecting your 3DS system version to initially run Tubehax, you have to scroll down the list to find European compatable options, the first versions you’ll see are for US 3DS’s only.

If you get it working, the first time you create a save back up of your town, copy that file and back it up several times, preferably on different PC’s or attached in an e-mail. The hacks are really finicky as it is, and if you do not do this. and corrupt your data, then that is it, all your work is likely gone forever. I cannot stress this enough. If you are scared of losing your save file, then go and buy another copy of ACNL and use that.

I’ve seen a lot of people not do these things because they are not mentioned in the video guide provided. Beyond those tips you’re on your own as I have zero experience with Ninja/tube/iron hax. But good luck, and happy ram editting!

As an aside, if you want to continue using the exploits, I recommend not updating your 3DS again, unless it has been confirmed somewhere that everything works post update. A future update will likely patch this somehow.
