I keep watching this because I want to show it to my mother who is having a stressful time teaching. She’s a language arts/librarian teacher who can’t seem to get her kids interested in learning, reading or writing. They do fine for the first part of the day and start breaking down later.

And I’m like “There’s probably a way to get them to enjoy learning while not being bored.” The idea just came up to have them create a vine.

I mean think about it. 20 kids, 4 teams of five. This vine has a brief introduction, a conflict, a conclusion and a resolution.  Every team wins something but the vines are rated by me and my brother. The best school appropriate vine will win a gift card or something.

This would be a day project but they’d have to write a script for their idea, have it approved and act it out. Hell the teachers could get involved. I just think its a really good idea. Part of being a teacher seems to be engaging children and inspiring them to learn. But from what I hear, no one cares about doing either of those anymore.
