Holy shit. Tome has got to be the worst MOBA i’ve ever played.
- The game tries to eliminate last hitting to gain gold while in battle but if you’re a melee champion this is almost impossible.
- The towers are too close making gaining exp extremely difficult since killing 3 minions forces the rest of the lane back into the enemy tower region so you just sit there waiting for the 2 enemy champions to try to clear while they gain more gold and exp then you.
- Speaking of laning, there’s no proper exp balance. 2 lanes, 3 champions, no jungle. Which means someone is going to fall off and become focused for free kills.
- There are no assist so you’re constantly combating over kills.
- Items are extremely limited with only 4 slots. Not to mention AD items don’t even scale abilities well meaning the easiest way to win is to rush health on a champion that has a stun for a free lane.
And I’m not just saying all this bad stuff because I lost one game. In fact, we won even though we were pushed on all sides, down like 9 “dragons.” and I was 6 levels behind. Just one push finished the game which is bullshit. Why is the “nexus” so easy to destroy?
I’ve never played a Moba before where winning forced me to uninstall. It’s frustrating. I didn’t like Dawngate either but at least Dawngate has different play styles and obvious item scaling. Hell the last new MOBA i’ve played was Fates Forever who’s only problem was its spell targeting system is horrible on the ipad. So you build damage, health and auto attack. Easy fix.
This game has a long way to go if it wants to compete with the likes of DOTA, League, and even Smite. Maybe I’m a little bias for only playing one game. But as a standard in the video gaming industry, that first impression is the most important factor. And you can’t say I’m butthurt about losing since WE WON.
