I love Pixar and this is upsetting but important to realize. I want them to do better!

Look. I’m probably going to get a lot of shit for this but.

Didn’t you women already have your “girl power” Pixar movie? When I go to see an animation, I don’t ask for a representation of my sex or race. I don’t give a shit that there are no black main characters (Frozone SO does not count). People who look at these movies for a headcount are seriously missing the point.

Not to mention you’re only posting “Pixar” movies when the company is linked in with Disney who as a whole has those female power role characters you’re so concerned about. I can’t stop hearing about Frozen despite the movie’s story being mediocre at best. Yeah I said it.

And even when you’re not counting Disney as a whole, there are plenty of female supporting characters in the show that are obviously stronger then our male protagonist.

Colette from Ratatouille anyone?

You mention Bo Peep being gone but completely forget that Jessy basically Woody’s equal. Fucking Hardscrabble?

Just look at Inside Out. Its main cast is mostly female. Yet you’re still pushing for “equality” when all you want is the majority. Well you got it. Congratulations. I’m willing to bet you’re going to get mad at those characters being too emotionally unstable and misrepresenting the female gender.

Seriously feel free to send me an angry note. I won’t disregard it and I will understand where you’re coming from. But personally, I’m sick of hearing this. Call me a privileged male bigot. But I for one do not give a single shit that the new Captain America is black. If you want your nationality or gender to be so positively represented in any medium then stand up and do it yourself. Don’t complain about “why aren’t others doing it?” Chances are they do not care.
