Some various Animal Crossing requests I did for /vg/ the other day (Minus the Kyle, that was for @breakerpangolin. ) Haven’t drawwhored in what feels like forever, its fun at the best of times!
Monsters and ghosts have been real in the Scoobyverse since 1998′s Zombie Island.
I think they’re ignoring that, and Mystery Inc…
They are. Despite the art style, this is set in the original cartoon, specifically a 1970 episode “A Night of Frights is No Delight”
And technically speaking, calling it the “Scoobyverse” is kind of incorrect since the majority of Scooby Doo cartoons are set in seperate continuities.
So I’m drawing something for my moms website and she’s like “No do it like you drew them back in high school.” There are 4 characters I drew and let her have but they were extremely outdated. I’ve tried to tell her a thousand times “Mom…Those designs were awful. The liness were gross, the coloring was blinding and over the top, the asian character was borderline racist.”
She takes this as me not being confident in my work and seems to fail to understand that critiquing your own past work does not mean you don’t have confidence in yourself. “They looked great stop being so negative about your work. Do them like that.”
Eventually I do the characters again from memory and just as I expected, it’s awful and she loves it. My uncle is here and we asks what he thinks about it which is a god send because he is actually another artist.. He tells me everything wrong with the image, everything I had originally wanted to fix in the first place. She eventually agrees and I’m just sitting here like
