Gaston on women’s Lib.

You see this is the sort of thing I like. Because, especially at Disney, you don’t want to really discourage any of those ideals “thinking, having your own ideas” but you also have to stay in character. So you associate those ideals with the princess in the group, the one who the young girl is supposed to idolize. So, while staying in character, Gaston can announce his displeasure for women who read while also encouraging it in a young girl by giving it the good association of Belle. Idk, I always thought those work arounds that Disney villain face characters go through to not be overtly mean to children but stay in character were really interesting.

I just gained so fucking much respect for this Gaston.

No one’s sneakily a feminist like Gaston

I love this because people are basically getting paid to be horrible. I mean all of the other villains are great at doing this and obviously staying in character. It makes me sad because I can imagine them being mean to someone who just doesn’t get it and becomes overly offended.

as some of y’all may know, max gilardi or hotdiggedydemon is a pretty popular internet artist who was behind such things as the pony.mov series. he’s also a racist who does offensive caricatures of children’s cartoon shows.

here’s an antisemitic caricature he did of steven…

This isn’t new. He also did a Mega 64 Video that had a caricature of a common african stereotype. But this wasn’t because he was racist. He was animating the casts of Mega 64′s story about this african Rocco was clearly intimidated by.

Steven Jewniverse is just a play on words and a caricature of a common jewish stereotype. It’s not like he invented it. He didn’t invent black face either.

The Connie comic doesn’t even hint at racism, its clearly a joke about Stevens attraction to the queen of geeks in the show.

Max might be a shitty person. Sure. But he’s definitely not a racist because he chose to present these obvious jokes in this way. Its almost like you’re going out of your way to be offended because he happened to parody your favorite show.

You’re not even examining him as a whole. You’re just pointing out two Steven Universe pictures he made and assumes he’s just racist. You’re essentially ignoring all the jokes he has made over the years about homosexuality, jokes about other races, various slurs, drug references, the furry fandom, religion and just general crude parody of noticeable characters. He tackles all kinds. Not because he’s racist, or homophobic. It’s because he’s just trying to be funny and ultimately failing to bring joy to the easily offended.

I’m not saying you don’t have the right to be offended. You do. But he also has the right to parody what he wants. Offensive or Innocent. Actual comedians do it all the time. Just try to make a real case before you work to convince everyone that you should hate someone. I can give you several reasons to hate Max Gilardi. Being “a racist” is not one of them.
