a little thing i noticed while watching the ppg music vid again. they copied old poses from official art to like pay homage and stuff and i noticed

thats actually fanart on the left, its often confused for official art but its not. its actually drawn by @girlslabo whos a very popular ppg artist, so popular their art often gets stolen and miscredited sadly

but yeah, idk but this is just a lil thing i noticed and thought id share

actually sizing up the image and turning it a bit in sai shows that it actually IS a direct copy. the only thing not on point is the pigtails

Also, it’s a cartoon character that is always drawn the same way, what, you expect them to be like super fucking different?

They did not just copy the picture. How would they? The line weight, the line style, the hair, the mouth, the shading… everything is different.

It’s the same pose and the same character. That’s it.

That’s how I feel about it. I could probably draw Bubbles in this exact pose without even tracing. I mean who’s to say girlslabo didn’t base the original pose on a pose from the show? I’m not saying I’m for art theft but I’d definitely like to see more proof before coming to any conclusions. It’s not when they took Rose’s Discord that was completely in her style and it was obviously her rendition. The styles are exactly the same. If I took a flash model of Twilight and posed her in one way, I can’t really claim that the show stole my pose, could I?

if anyone’s super confused why lupe fiasco is being talked about in the context of street fighter tonight:

Lupe Fiasco, who is a rapper, was asked on twitter if he watched EVO (a really big fighting game tournament, probably the biggest really). He said yes, but only to study Daigo. 

Daigo is probably the world’s greatest Street Fighter player, or at least way way up there in terms of SF players. he’s really fucking good. He’s also signed to Mad Catz (the dudes who make controllers and stuff)’s professional gaming team 

so a dude from MadCatz responds to Lupe Fiasco on twitter asking if Lupe wants to fight Daigo on SF. Lupe is down for it (and even calls him Daigo-san lmao)

so then we get this poster

and Daigo-san gets cut a check and flies to the US to play against Lupe Fiasco. the best Street Fighter player in the world is playing against Lupe Fiasco, a dude who’s never entered a FGC tournament

naturally everyone’s expecting Lupe to get smashed, but HE FUCKING DOESN’T and manages to pull off a TIGHT 3-2 win over Daigo (here’s the full match)

to the surprise of everyone, including himself

and as a gesture of goodwill, he gives Daigo his one-of-a-kind jacket that he received from Konami

then he jumps on the commentator couch and almost kicks Mike Ross in the head

so that happened tonight

Look at Lupe when he wins. He literally can’t believe it.
