In fact just for future reference assume all of Jodi’s qualities are the exact opposite of Yadira’s except her allignment. Yadira isn’t chaotic evil. Jodi aligns herself with people in need. Yadira aligns herself with people I’D need.

I’m sorry I do like talking about my characters when instead I should be drawing these ideas

Ironically, Yadira is the opposite. That’s a running theme in her character since she was the second character I created. Yadira lives to live a long time and mentions of her dying don’t frighten her. They anger her. Despite working around the undead and their spells, the thought of falling before her time is up makes Yadira more violent and desperate to escape what may be hostile towards her. She can usually tell if someone is serious and doesn’t fret when they’re not but if someone makes a serious claim on her life she won’t hesitate to prevent this from happening in anyway possible. Unlike Jodi she’s not very strong so she has to rely on her wit, charm and magic to get out of dangerous situations.

Yadira’s phobia is a lot simpler. If Jodi is afraid of countdowns to her death then Yadira is afraid of countups on her life. Age. She’s afraid of growing old and weak. She wants to become immortal and stay at her prime forever. It’s why I can’t imagine her trying to become a lich. Yadira is extremely vain.

Irii on the other hand has no fears. Not because he’s brave but because he’s an idiot. He’s learned from a lizardman to associate fear but is quicker to run at an enemy because “it might be sad” than run away from it. Fear of death is the closest to a phobia he has and that seems to be overwritten by gut reactions and reckless abandon.

Hooooly shit, what a stupid comparison

No? They have the same name, evolving doesn’t change a Pokemon’s name. This is the kind of fake geek crap that needs to stop, don’t use shit you don’t understand to make your political points.

That uh. That is plainly false. When your un-nicknamed Totodile evolves Into a Crocanaw, it’s name goes from Totadile to Crocanaw. Same from Crocanaw to Feraligatr.

That is plainly true, no idea why you’d even try this. That’s not it’s name, that’s it’s species. If you actually name it then it keeps the name.

But if you don’t nickname it, the -name- in the -name slot- is it’s species, which changes.

The absence of a name is not a name

It’s not the absence of a name. If it were, then there would he nothing in the name slot. As well, if it weren’t a name, then when you nickname them, it wouldn’t be “Giving them a nickname” it would be “Giving them a name” as Nickname means an alternative name. If you nickname them, then there must be a standard name, which defaults to their species. I realize you’re likely just being pedantic now, but… Legit, it’s silly.

Also, as @perpetualundead said, you can change Pokemon’s nicknames at the name rater and noooooooobody gives a shit. (Assuming you didn’t get the ‘mon in a trade.)

Wait. First off the tweet is obviously referring to a pokemons species name. You don’t call a Growlithe an Arcanine (Unless you’re a misinformed voice actor to a certain police woman) but there species change so their name changes. Alright I’m with you this far. So “ They have the same name, evolving doesn’t change a Pokemon’s name. “ is false. If anything that first post suggest that you can still call Johnny Sue “Johnny” even after they change their “species”. That’s totally against what the tweet is suggesting. You should take time to say “Mary Sue” instead of “Johnny Sue”. Their “previous stage.”

So it’s clear he’s talking about their species, not their nickname. You’re not even arguing about the right thing, mantis.

Also evolving into a different gender implies the previous gender was inferior and that’s just sexist if you make that comparison. It’s the same thing as that tweet about how the economy should be like Mario Kart. It seems like a good idea at first but when you really think about it, it’s just not a good comparison.

Actually, evolving into a different gender implying the previous gender was inferior is accurate, -for the individual.- For a transgal, being seen as a man is objectively inferior -for them- and vice versa.

That’s opinion from personal experience though. And I know how dismissive “That’s just your opinion man” sounds but consider what I’m getting at. Someone else would say the exact opposite and suggest people take men more seriously. There’s going to be a difference in opinion.

The reason I even bring this up is because we’re talking about Pokemon here. If we’re talking in terms of strength and stats, Charizard being stronger than Charmander isn’t an opinion, it’s straight up fact. That’s why I think the comparison doesn’t make sense from that point of view because the tweeter is putting two genders that are supposed to be considered equal and comparing them to stages of pokemon which are just factually not equal at all. That’s comparing apples to berries at this point.

I’m exhausted from running around all week so i can’t draw so instead have a fun little factoid about Jodi

Jodi has a single phobia. I decided once during a campaign that Jodi is absolutely terrified of countdowns. More specifically countdowns possibly leading to her demise.

This came about during a campaign session. The first time she was all alone in a puzzle which locked all the doors and a countdown started. She learned how to reset the timer but no idea how to prevent what happened if the timer reached zero. The room was litered with skeletons suggesting a deadly trap. She only knew how to prolong the end but had no idea how to stop. Turns out the timer was just a prank and once it hit 0 the doors opened.

If you or someone tells her when she will die, she seems to immediately tense up and does whatever she can to stop it especially if she thinks you’re serious. Jodi isn’t afraid of death. Jodi is afraid of knowing when she’ll die.

I figure this is because this is a gamble in her mind. Either they’re telling the truth or she manages to survive. When she survives this shakes her up like nothing else. She is moved to tears and has even bawled out loudly because of it and realizes how horrible it would be to die before she’s really felt she’s redeemed herself. So just don’t start joking about that shit around her or it’ll be you counting down instead.

Pictured is Jodi ready to attack you when you joke about that shit,
