1. I have been sober all of my life. I just wasn’t a kid that fell for the alcohol, smoking craze. I was a dork all my life that hung with straight edged type geeks that loved anime. But that was just my high school years. In college my brother offered me two things. He wanted me to try weed and he wanted me to try Hookah. He said it would help me think creatively. I smoked weed but it had no effect on me. I pretended I was high to appease him but it just didn’t do anything for me at all. Hookah is just fucking awful and the same thing happened. I genuinely tried it but was not affected by the symptoms. My first experiences with alcohol are when I turned 21 and wanted to join MLPG in a drinking game. Whatever I bought was way too light. Then my uncle bought me a beer to celebrate my age but it was so disgusting I couldn’t take more than 2 sips.
2. I’m currently living with seven dogs in a small space. Sheba is the oldest. Her sons and daughters are Biko, Jehu, Candace and my favorite, Sydney. Sydney begat Yu (who only has the name because as a puppy he responded to being called YOU and wouldn’t respond to everyone else. I joked that maybe Yu could be his name since a character in Persona was named Yu and it stuck.) Yu begat Ameenah who is the puppy that really should not be here. Sheba was a Husky/German Shepard mix who got knocked up by a rottweiler and produced some of the most beautiful looking dogs I’ve seen in a while. The first generation has the rottweiler patterns but the girls have smooth long curly hair. Yu, Sydneys son, looks like Shadow from Incredible Journey. He looks straight Golden Retriever and Ameenah looks like him but pure white. Contrary to the belief that I’m a furry and I love diamond dogs, There’s only two of the bunch that I actually like and that’s Sydney and Yu. The rest are weirdos
3. I’m tired of superhero movies. Civil War looks like all the worst parts of the Marvel vs Capcom francise and throwing in that Micheal Cera Spiderman sure as hell ain’t helping. It’s been SEVERAL MOVIES and these fucking Avengers are still fighting each other? The hero vs hero plotline just needs to stop in the MCU. Because what it comes down to is the only ones that will die are the ones that people want paychecks cut IF ANYONE. There’s no tension. MCU is not going to throw a curveball. It’s MC fucking U. The guys have done the same movies for years. The heroes are going to have a disagreement. There’s going to be a conflict. They’re going to realize their faults and probably team up to fight a greater threat. I didn’t have a third one. Sue me.
I just received word that I was not accepted into the Apprenticeship I was so excited about. The company already told me that anyone who is called in for the first class after the interview was accepted into the program but it turns out “the decision to let me go was a hard one.”
This is getting ridiculous. I’m starting to consider just packing up and moving to Arizona like my brother did. This is the closest I’ve ever been to getting hired to anything with steady pay in years and I still feel shot down.
I’m not going to let it get to me I’m just gonna creep but to lead someone on like that just hurts. My entire family was so proud of me. They thought coming back home and working on this project that would barely keep me alive with how unstable pay dates are would finally be worth it.
To be honest I don’t feel like a programmer anyway. I’m graphics based. Getting certified in Captivate, Flash, Edge and After Effects are my next steps right now since its the only thing that seems to be getting me any kind of income here.
