before buying overwatch, you love every single non-torbjorn character because the characters are so diverse in terms of gender, race, background, and other things that make its character design unique compared to other games
after buying overwatch, there are several characters that you would shoot multiple times in the chest in a dark alley without even the slightest bit of remorse. your feelings towards torbjorn remain the same
why does everyone hate torbjorn?
because they’re bad at video games

Torbjorn turrets literally go down in like 2 - 3 hits from most offensive characters. And it stays stationary and takes a second to become a real threat meaning the turrets won’t move around a lot like Bastion players. I’m not saying you should hate Bastion players either because they have the flexibility to kill 2 people and move in a new location. But the only time Torbjorn is really difficult to take out is when people are covering him and when people ignore him. If you’re gonna get salty over a character pick someone like Mei who can solo most nontanks by just holding down left click and spamming jump whereas the only way to counter her before getting frozen is landing headshots while shes jumping around. That’s annoying. Finding a stationary turret and killing the guy trying to repair it? That’s childsplay.
