I have to come clean about the game and why it’s been at a stand still.
I really don’t want to continue making the game….as is.
QDK is so limited. I’m using an old version and the new version is so different and simplified I doubt I can do exactly what I want with it anymore.
I want an engine that’s:
Browser Friendly
Able to successfully save and call flags
Able to use images and gifs
Able to have a battle system
And I can only do 2 of those things with QDK. People told me to not use Flash but there are so many games out there that use Java and Flash to make what I want. Essentially I want a game like Fenoxo’s games (+18)except without the heavy fetish stuff. This way customization, battling and aesthetics could be more satisfying AND run perfectly in a browser. But I just don’t have the knowledge to program this kind of stuff. I want to expand this project and finish it how it should be finished but I also want it done within the deadline. I might end up finishing this games to be barebones so I can say it’s done and then work on remaking it later.
JonTron went full-on White Supremacist this weekend and it was so severe, so gratuitous, and so irrefutable that no one, not even his most hardcore fans, are making any attempt to justify him.
I want to give Jon the benefit of the doubt. The last time in a debate people jumped on him when he said women weren’t really discriminated in the USA and Boogie and Sky got pissed off. What he was really saying was as opposed to other countries, women have it the best in the US which they reluctantly had to agree with. So I really hope this is all a misunderstanding but god damn I’m not watching a 2 hour video to defend him when I really don’t have a voice for or in politics. To me he just seems like an uninformed and uninitiated comedian speaking his initial thoughts and it would probably be better off staying and trying to convince him otherwise instead of leaving him at the drop of a hat. Quotes aside he doesn’t seem like a hate filled guy.
Another thing. People on his side are already rushing to his defense with facts. Whereas I haven’t seen anyone against him bring up any counter points.
The computer said my next patient’s name was Lucifer, and that he was a domestic. Not that an unusual name for a pet, I have to admit.
“Come on in. Do you have Lucifer hiding in that box for me?” I say. A gentleman dressed all in black with a rather spiky aesthetic and a selection of piercings comes into my consult room and opens the box.
He places a perfectly black rabbit on the table.
Honestly, I had been expecting a cat.
Turns out Lucifer is his new rabbit. He’d insisted on taking it from a friend who wasn’t taking care of it a few months ago.
Lucifer, for his part, had decided the table was too scary and that his dad’s leather clad armpit was the best place to be.
To my surprise and delight, our new goth rabbit owner is doing everything right. Perfect diet, read up on rabbit health, vaccinating, enrichment, the works.
He even started a vegetable garden to grow treats for the rabbit, or as he put it, “tributes for lucifer.”
God damn It Nobby. Now I’m just imagining life continuing in Possum Springs except Black Goat gets tired of waiting so he starts haunting Mae trying to convince her to feed him and he’s this powerful being that gets into her head but he’s also a huge fucking goof like
