Mineta is kind of crucial to the story. Well maybe not “crucial” but he offers an archetype no one else does. Ironically despite Bakugou’s competitive and downright antagonistic attitude, Mineta is the most likely to become a villain. He’s childish, perverted and seems to only want to become a hero for fame and glory. He’s comical because he’s such a little shit head but if you pay attention his classmates keep him in line. I mean they have to. Imagine this fuck preying on hot quirkless girls in dark alleys. He’s here to be the scumbag so we know about everyone elses’ virtues as well as see him grow.
I hate him too but him being there serves a purpose.
