I don’t have a degree in politics but I have lived in Detroit basically my entire life.
Detroit was black owned for years. Everyone left because they believed the media telling them how bad it was and refused to change. Criminals didn’t want to school and middle class didn’t want to live next to criminals. Instead of wealthy people investing in their own town they moved to places like Ann Arbor and Royal Oak because of “How much better it was”. (I should know, my family did the same thing for 4 years before having to move back)
So now we got this huge group of white people who see the value in Detroit and they took what our people didn’t care for. I’ve been to meetings about what they plan Detroit to be. A trading center of America. They have plans for Detroit and everything they’re doing is ACTUALLY benefiting the city.
You haven’t walked Downtown Detroit now as opposed to Five years ago. Downtown and Midtown Detroit have been bought up and developed by Whites and Asians. Their workers and children are living there and going to school here to claim those jobs. Any black people you see down there are either in business, in college or sulking at the Transit Center. This is what I know. This is what I see being a resident of Detroit. Stop looking in from the outside and just assuming you don’t understand what has been going on. If you care so much about Detroit you would have helped us years ago. Fuck. Off.

You’re wrong. As much as I think Adam’s comics are lazy he’s right. He’s getting paid for doing minimal work which is fucking ideal and you can’t hate him for being this fortunate. Whatever connections or friends he had to make to get into his position you can’t insult him because he made his way. And he has every right to defend himself when being attacked by jealous people.
