ERRANDS is a turn-based sci-fi RPG in which you play as a young dude, go to space, and meet aliens, while punching everything in your path.
Made with RPG maker VX ACE, using original material save for a few sound effects. Please give it a try if you can! It’s only, like, 1 or 2 hours long.

HOW TO PLAY:
Download the exe. It extracts itself into a folder: launch “Game” (the icon is a little red dragon) and play with the directional keys, X, and Z.

Legend of Murphy is a dungeon crawler action game about a young man name Murphy thrown into a bizarre world and forced to fend for himself. There was a lot more story to it but I don’t want to put out what the story guy on our team mentioned. It was mostly the coders idea and I only take credit for the character sprites made.
The game is extremely short as our team of 4 students only had about 2 weeks to finish it, but the fact that we finished it in such short time while balancing other classes speaks louder then the appearance of the final project.
Don’t get me wrong, I like this game a lot. I just wish we could have did more with it. The degree is still on going so who knows? Maybe we’ll meet in the future and remake it with a different engine and better graphics and play-ability. But for now I feel accomplished for actually finishing it.

I don’t know why you would want to but the coder had to fix some things. We presented the game today and he said he’d send us the final piece. It was made in Game Maker and I’ll release it as soon as he sends it.
Its extremely short and needs a lot of work to improve. Hell half of the sprites I made weren’t even used. You could beat the entire game in about a minute. Given the fact that we really only had 2 weeks to work on it, I say we did pretty well.
But I think its good to show that if I wanted to make a game, I do know how to at least make the sprite work and format it for a game to meet limitations.
Before one sprite took me about 20 minutes since I was using Sai but I was told that the artwork was too advanced for our engine. So I switched to GraphicsGale (An ACTUAL pixel program) and it was a lot more fun and I ended up liking it a lot more.
I wasn’t in charge of the “Story” but I’m glad I kept my ideas to myself and let the story guys do their job.
So it’ll be uploaded later today. You shouldn’t need Gamemaker to play it.
I know it’s trendy to fight the system and cry that we are all becoming slaves of technology, but this attitude overlooks that computers and phones are tools for communicating. When someone thinks I’m an idiot smiling at a machine, I’m actually smiling at my girlfriend who is 10000 miles away and whom I would have never met if not for these newfangled electronics. As they say: when the wise man points to the moon, the fool looks at the finger.
This is a topic that I’ve been wanting to tackle for a while now; much credit to this excellent post for bringing it to the front of my brain.
