There’s so much more in DS2 that’s on the side or optional I think
True. there are a bunch of firelink shrines I missed and some areas that are just not unlocked. DS1 didn’t really have that many optional areas unless you count that one area after blight town. Hell even the painting felt optional

It took me 60 hours to beat Dark Souls 1
It took me 40 to beat 2.
Why did that 40 go by so fast?!
Either this game is easier or I got good. I enjoyed Dark Souls 2, don’t get me wrong.
Its just weird since I played this RIGHT after finishing 1 lately. So the fact that one game took me 60 hours and this one took a fraction of that is a bit disappointing. The replayability is still there though. I’m starting over and focusing a PVP build this time with the harder mode.
